I get an error code: 0×80070005. I also had to Omit the Quotation marks to get it to work:cd %programfiles(x86)%SonyRemote Play with PlayStation 3. Got to the Dir Okay that way. The Error Code Reads as:”The module “vrpsdk.dll” was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0×80070005. I have Windows 7 Premium 64bit.
I hate to say it, but the ship has sailed for me. Don't get me wrong, I'll still download the Plus version it when it's available, but at one point I was pretty sure I'd upgrade to the full blown version, and now it's extremely unlikely. The problem is the delay has coincided with an amazing deal/pricing error for the Xbox One Forza Horizons bundle, which I picked up this weekend. I've only got the time to fully devote to one racing title, and what with Forza being both the more well received of the two and the one that worked it's way into my home first, it's looking like that's going to be the one I'll play.
I can’t help but notice that nobody has replied to posts concerning “It crashes on ‘registering PS3′” other than “Me too”. Can we get some USEFUL advice on what to do when it does that? I don’t think it matters whether or not there is a laptop involved. We’re using Windows 7 (and the people who aren’t are idiots because it says ‘Windows 7′ in the page title). I have had this problem. I am using WIndows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (on PC if you STILL care). I’ve registered the dlls as instructed, and replaced the files as instructed, and I’m using a wireless dongle, and it still gives buttkiss.
Same Problem over here. I also disconnected the internet and he tries to connect to the ps3 network. It doesnt crash but i get another error that the ps3 isnt found. Can somebody tell us why it isnt working? Some of the 64bit users posted that its workin on their systems – so is there a problem with my network?
Thanx a gazzilion for all the help everyone…everyone worked out just fine for me so far…the only issue i now have is that when i enter the 8-digit code generated by the PS3 on my PC (windows 7-32bit) and it tries to register, the program goes white and then crashes….i always get the same error saying ” a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available” i have not been notified with any solution…
–When exiting the Remote Play application on your PC, you can choose to Power Off the PS3 or Leave it in Remote Play mode. You can also change settings on the PS3 to allow it to wake from Standby when Remote Play is started. Remote play does use port 9293 ; you may need to forward this port on your router and open it up in your firewall.
My issue is only when trying to access remote play when I am in a separate location from my ps3. I’m using a sony vaio and can connect using remote play just fine when I am at home next to my ps3 but when I go to somebody else’s house and try to connect, I always get a timed out error. For, “Remote play does use port 9293; you may need to forward this port on your router and open it up in your firewall.” How do you do that last part?
I have followed all the steps, get the screen asking to name the device, which I do, then get screen to enter the Register Device Code from the PS3, and after I enter it and continue to next step the screen where it obviously tries to register freezes and then a popup comes up asking “debug program” or “close” cause its not responding. Has anyone else gotten this problem and got a fix for it? I have 32 bit windows 7
